Charumathi Badrinath
As part of her 2019 EE Ford Community Engagement Fellowship, Charumathi revamped the ONWG website, redesigned the organization’s logo, and created an ONWG promotional video. She continues to work on and expand the website throughout the year, and is working with ONWG this summer through the SPARK program at Harvard where she will starting as a freshman in the fall.

Some days we worked in the farm with the bright students of REACH Academy, others we delivered our harvests to food pantries in Westchester, and once we even spent the day making jam with our hand-picked currants!””
Sebastian Lee
As part of his 2019 EE Ford Community Engagement Fellowship, Sebastian helped renovate and plant crops at several ONWG locations.

Julian Martelly
Julian worked with Ethan Zeplin, as part of his 2018 EE Ford Community Engagement Fellowship. The two planted, harvested, cleaned areas, prepared garden beds, and connected with students from REACH Academy through garden therapy work.

Sara Crane
Sara began working with Our New Way Garden in its much earlier days. Along with some friends and her high school environmental advocacy group, she volunteered in the New King Street garden a handful of times and found it to be a de-stressing, fun, and social after school activity. Last summer, she served as the Marketing Intern for ONWG, managed its social media accounts, and got her hands dirty working in the garden and greenhouse.
Ethan Zeplin
Ethan worked with Julian Martelly as part of their 2018 EE Ford Community Service Fellowship. In addition to other activities, the pair also designed a wheelchair ramp for the gardens and attended weekly farmers markets where they helped set up the ONWG booth.
Jessica Seng
Jessica, daughter of former refugees, is from Tucson, Arizona. During her freshman year, she had the absolute pleasure of being a BEAM fellow for Our New Way Garden. She is so excited to see how the organization continues to blossom. Jessica is currently a senior at Stanford University studying Science, Technology, and Society and Creative Writing. One of her favorite places in Samrose Market.
